LTT 17-21 February 2020 Bursa


The Learning / Teaching and Training activity of the Project was held under the coordination of Bursa Provincial Directorate of National Education and Ali Osman Sönmez Vocational and Technical High School, in Bursa on 17-21 February 2020.

The representatives of universities, schools and various institutions from England, Poland, Portugal, Italy, Spain and Hungary, and the R&D Unit Pek team staff and Ali Osman Sönmez MTAL teachers attended the 5-day training.

The first day of the training started with a meeting event for participants from partner institutions, the project progress report, what to do in the next stages and the presentation of the fourth intellectual output was performed by the project coordinator.

In the afternoon session, the fourth intellectual output was discussed about school activities and international student matches. The type and content of the school activities were determined by the partners. The first day activities were ended with small workshops on Virtual Reality and C# coding language. 

On the second day of the program, the participants made study visits to OIB Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School and Uludağ University Technopark ( Ulutek ). Participants received information about the working style of the institutions during the visits and attended the workshop activities. After the visits, the team participated in the  Mental Intelligence Games Workshop which is carried out by Bursa MEM R & D Unit in Gorukle Hazinedaroglu Primary School.  

On the third day, Bursa Science and Technology Center was visited in the morning and the participants attended many workshops organized by BTM. In the afternoon, a guided city tour was organized for the participants.

The fourth day of the training started in Ali Osman Sönmez Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. When the participants first came to school in the morning, they visited the sections of the school by coding with Orienteering activity organized in the school. This event, held in the form of competition and combining both coding and orienteering activity and it attracted great attention from the participants. Afterwards, the guests participated in the workshop called ‘design, make and code’. In the afternoon session, workshops were carried out by different project partners on Arduino coding, wearable technologies and mobile application preparation.

On the last day of the five-day events, the participants also attended the workshops held at Ali Osman Sönmez Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. Code is Loading project Learning-Teaching-Education Activity was successfully completed with the certificate ceremony.

Relevant participants from the project partners who participated in five days of training, workshops and study visits stated that they were very pleased that they participated in such activities in our country and had the opportunity to see the developments in technology in our country.
